I live in Ethiopia and I have an aunt in USA. She is willing to pay me 13k USD. Since I am not able to receive the money in Canadian dollars in my home country, what is the best way for me to provide proof of funding from the below list:
- banker's drafts
- cheques
- money orders
- travellers’ cheques
Please note that I am not able to recieve the money from my aunt in Canadian dollar due to country restriction. Therefore I have to find another way of showing the Proof of funds.
You can't use any of these as POF. The money has to be deposited in a bank account under YOUR name.
You can convert the money to your local currency, doesn't need to be Canadian dollar

As said above - none of these are options. The money needs to be deposited in a bank account in your name. Your aunt can send you the money in a different currency.

The money needs to be deposited in YOUR bank account. After that, a gift deed has to be submitted by you that tells that the money is being gifted to you by your aunt and is not borrowed.
