I lived in Toronto for 4 years and I've been nominated by Nova Scotia back in September. I accepted the nomination and 2 months after AOR I was asked to provide a Settlement Plan.
I still haven't received my PPR but I arrived in Nova Scotia a few days ago. I called immigration last Friday and all is good with my application, I just have to wait a few more days
If you are true about your intentions you will not have a problem getting PNP from other province
So i'm in Nova Scotia, arrived 2 months ago after LMIA and work permit granted.
According to Ontarios PNP doc it says "ontario onip will only consider arranged employment in ontario, arranged employment outside of ontario contradicts your intention to stay and results in a refusal of your application"
I want to live in Toronto and would happily do a settlement plan
Surely though they would think this is weird and reject?
My employment isn't arranged tho, im actually here
NS PNP is a little bit different, as long as your profession is on the high demand list you can apply. I am not sure how ON PNP works though and its rules
Go ahead n apply....it takes a while for provinces to issue nominations. Last year, it as taking way longer than three months to issue nominations. Do some research n submit a good settlement plan.
Once you are nominated, you can move after submitting your app. Ontario is a high demand province therefore, they would not be extremely worried that u are not in the province. Forum is full of ppl who are nominated but not present in the province.
Well you currently have arranged employment in NS. Hence the LMIA and job offer. With that being said, there if no harm in pursuing nomination from ON. You need to start job searching for jobs in ON. When they request a settlement plan from you, mention that if you are to receive the nomination and permenant residency that you will quit your current job and move to Ontario. Prove that you are applying to jobs there.
Currently you are restricted by your work permit to work for the employer that issued you the LMIA, but once you receive your PR you can quit that job and move to Ontario. You must move to Ontario if you were nominated by Ontario, you cannot continue in your current job working in NS.
