Hi There. I have question which method I should use to apply PR. either CEC or PNP

I graduated college in Toronto in 2012 and moved Alberta since I got permanent job offer.

Currently I have been working as customs broker since 2013 May to Present.

If I keep working as customs broker, I will be able to apply PR 2014 May??(correct?)

but I still have to wait for half more year to go.

My co-worker told me that one another way to immigrate to Canada(PNP), this has pros and cons

although I can apply right now, I need to ask for help to my company(this is empolyer driven)

and I would have to fill out more docs than CEC. I would like people here to help me which one you would apply if you
were me

also, I would like to know pros and cons for both.

Sincerely

I would suggest PNP is faster way in alberta, i heard from some of my friends!!!

I actually doubt that PNP is faster because you first have a waiting time to get your PNP nomination and then to get your PR. Figure in a couple to a few months to get your nomination and then add the processing time according to visa office here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/provincial.asp CEC is 13 months, see here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-ec.asp

If you are sponsored by an employer, the downside is that you must stay with that employer in order to keep your application.

If you are worried that CEC might fall through and you don't mind paying the processing fee twice, you can apply for both. PNP now and CEC when you are eligible. At some point, immigration will likely ask you to withdraw the one application though in order for the other to go forward.

Thank you for the quick response,Yogesh85 and Leon.

Since I know nothing the differences between PNP and CEC.

May I ask few more questions?

first question is that, What If I obtained PR through PNP(AINP), would I have to stay alberta for good? and I could only work in Alberta?

Second question is that, My employer asked me if they have to pay some fees if they help me to apply employer driven International student

category. I asnwered "NO" I could not find anything that company has to pay to apply company driven category.

(albertacanada.com/immigration/immigrating/ainp-eds-employer-driven-stream.aspx)

is this right??

Sorry to bother you again

Please help me. have a great weekend guys.

If you get PNP through AINP, it should be your intention to settle in AB as you apply and as you land but if you decide to move later, nobody will stop you.

As far as I know, the employer doesn't have to pay anything but they may have to fill out some forms and that may cost them time and time is money. You could offer to help them out by researching and filling the forms out yourself for them as much as you can.

Hi folks.

Thank you for the help. I really appriciated it.

I have just started applying AINP as employer driven skilled worker as B level for International Grad category.

Currently, I have kept collecting docs meanwhile I have to ask for help my company to get some docs filled out.

according to the web site
albertacanada.com/files/albertacanada/AINP-EDS-SkilledW-IntlGrad-checklist.pdf) check list for skilled-international grad for empolyers driven

docs I need are followings

1 AINP005

2 AINP003

(NOT AINPempolyer compliance form)- I am not in the food industry.

3 employer CONTRACT

(i DO NOT NEED LMO i HAVE POST GRAD WORK PERMIT)

4 Job letter from HR resource

5CIC forms

6 valid passport(copy)

(No prrof of language test NOC B)

7 education and licensning (diploma from college)

8 Refernce letter from previous company (work related reference letter)

(I will apply bymyself and do not use consluatant stuff)

I believe that is all thing I have to collect. then

I have two questions for this

question 1

number 3 empolyment contract says, this must be current.

do you guys know how current it should be? I got contract 2013 May is this current enough?

question 2

number 8 says refernce letter from previous company

what if I have first job related to job level B, Should omit here then?

Sorry to bother you guys.

Please help me collecting right docs.

Have a great day! :D
