I'm applying for PNP Express Entry. I have a question regarding ECA. I submitted my application without ECA. When I submitted my Express Entry profile and it said I'm eligible for Canadian Experience Class.
Under the Education tab it states that I do not need ECA if I already worked for a year in Canada which is the case.
But under the PNP application I ticked the following boxes:
Express Entry British Columbia Stream
x Skilled Worker
Applicable federal economic immigration program(s)
x Canadian Experience Class
So for Skilled Worker it is required. Do you guys think I would have needed an ECA for PNP EE?
Why do you need an ECA , When you have a degree or diploma from a Canadian university ??? As far as the welcome BC page says
You must also meet the minimum criteria for one of the following federal economic immigration programs:
• Federal Skilled Worker Program
• Federal Skilled Trades Program
• Canadian Experience Class
*Please note - This may include a language proficiency level and an independent evaluation of your education that is assessed against Canadian standards
So its not mandatory .. and cic website says
you have a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate, you do not need to get an ECA.
i'm not sure you guys are correct on this..
this is from cic :
If you are hoping to apply to the Federal Skilled Trades Program or Canadian Experience Class, an ECA is optional, but it may help you earn more points for the education component on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) and improve your chances of being invited to apply.

You will need to get an ECA for your foreign degree, diploma or certificate if:
a.you want to be considered for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) under Express Entry
•you are a principal applicant, and
•you got your education outside Canada, or
b.you are an Express Entry candidate (or their spouse or common-law partner coming with them to Canada) being considered for the Federal Skilled Trades Program or the Canadian Experience Class, and you want points for your foreign education.
[GUYS FROM THE ABOVE STATEMENT mentioned on the CIC website. It is very clear that for FSWP you do not need to get your spouse ECA.
I am not for FSWT or CANADIAN EXPERIENCE CLASS. I am for FSWP so I should NOT be worried about it. No use of getting it done for spouse because it is not mentioned that you get some additional points unless you are FSWT or Canadian Experience Class applicants.]
