I am to file the initial application for CIO.
But unfortunately I haven't got the passports done for my wife and kids.
Can I go ahead and apply, leaving the space provided for their passport numbers blank and later, include them when I am approved
for further processing.
thanks
No, u can't.
Whatever the other reasons be, Leaving any blank in the forms shall render it invalid. Then, there can be 2 things. Either the CIC will send it back to u to complete & redeliver, or reject it outrightly.
one of my frnd in same situation wrote 'applied for' in the passport column of his wifes passport !
@RUKA
NO problem buddy, Write 'Applied For' in those columns, It will definitely be accepted, I can assure u , I have seen the application of one of the applicant(right now he is with PR status) who wrote the same, In that case the CIC had considered his application as well, so go ahead without any hesitation.
Hope it will help.
Cheers
Thanks for the replies
One more questions,
I learnt from the forum, that each kid should have his/her own passport. Just getting them included in the wife's passport won't do. Am I Correct ?
Naavy100,
Did your friend successfully go through this stage (despite he's written 'Applied For' in the passport column)
thanks
thanks.

you are absolutely accurate, U have to apply for their(kid) individual passports.
Y r u worrying for "applied for column'. At least my friend successfully passed by writing "applied for' in passport column. Go ahead buddy.
cheers
thanks a lot for all your clarifications.
I will apply and in the mean time apply for the passports too.
thanks again
