1. Start by reading www.cic.gc.ca skilled worker. Note that HGV drivers (Semis in Canada) are not considered skilled workers. So the only way you would get to Canada, is the work permit and PNP route. That is find a trucking company in Manitoba/Saskatchewan/PEI/ that will hire on work permits, (You would have to take the tests and obtain a Class 1 license in the province, before you could drive.) After 6 months on the work permit, the company can obtain a PNP certificate for you, and then you can apply for PR. Note your spouse will not be able to work until you receive the PNP certificate.
