Pls Help - PR application rejected because of south korean PCC format

Can you please let me know if you were able to solve this? Did IRCC accept the PCC given by the consulate not including lapsed records?

Consulate says that it can provide a written confirmation. Will this be enough?

Hi,

1. In my case I already created a new account and applied again with the same PCC along with the replies from Embassy and Korean police that Lapsed records can not be provided and PCC should work. And it worked for me.

2. IRCC realized their mistake and wanted to reopen my case but I received another ITA on my new profile so I skipped it.

3. My case was rejected on the 29th, of June 2022 but on 1 July 2022 IRCC on the website removed the conditions of the Lapsed record requirement. And now they require PCC along with a written Self-declaration which can be done on an A4 page but I did it on a Stamp paper and notirised it. So that's how it should be onwards.

So all you need is the PCC and the self-declaration and that should work.

Looks like Korea renamed certificates from February 13, 2024 and foreigners can only get ""criminal (investigation) records check report (범죄· 수사경력 회보서)" which is different from what IRCC website says is needed : https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...pcc-renamed-and-doesnt-match-ircc-one.847775/

Not sure what should be correct course of action in this case. Could you advise?
