Hi everyone. I just got admitted into Seneca college for a graduate certificate program in project management (Sept intake). I have a BSc in Architecture. My employer is sponsoring me in a bid to develop me for bigger roles at the company on my return. I just want to know what factors could affect my chances of approval as I’m about to commence my visa application process. Thank you!

Your chances of approval goes down drastically if your chosen course does not correspond with your previous qualification and/or doesn't show logical progression. This is perhaps the biggest refusal reasons.
For someone with a BSc in Arch going for a graduate certificate program in such a generic and unrelated course like Project Management (and in a college), your chances are not great, though not impossible.
Thank you so much for your response. The program is actually project management-environmental and it has ties to my current employment and I believe my educational background as well. I handle projects related to stage design, event management and set building. Do you think my chances of approval are still low?

If you can properly articulate the relevance in your Study Plan, then sure. Any reason why you opted for a college program instead of a Master's program at a university? That would give you better odds.
I actually have an MSc in my home country, but it was quite flaky, too theory-based and didn’t give me the confidence to compete with my peers on the same level. For one, it was a 2yr degree which eventually spanned for 4 years due to internal school issues and strikes.
My employer wants to sponsor me for this program to gain practical world class knowledge and experience so I could import value gained back to the company and usher in contemporary methods into our system. We deal with a lot of multinationals so this experience is expected to put the company at an advantage over our competitors. Does that help?

They do, as long as it makes sense in light of your previous education.
You have a Master's. A graduate certificate is a lower level of education than a Bachelor. So it really doesn't make sense for you to be studying at this level.

Take a PG diploma there is a guy on this forum who also did master that to with 47% and he got the visa so take PG diploma and write a very strong SOP and give the VO no reason to reject you. Good luck.
