Can a non accompaning child whom is pregnant delay there parents PR application abroad?

I have been in process for 13 months with Kingston Jamaica my step daughter whom is non accompaning was not preganant when we first filled ..But since then she has become pregnant and had to redo her medical along with my husband and her other siblings because they expired throughout our process..

I sent a email 3 days ago asking the status of our application ..and how much longer from here?



Hi i am looking to see the status of my husbands PR application as we were asked to submit Medical Redo and police checks and we did so december 31st.

Now we are in our 13th month since the office has recieved our complete application.Can you please give us an update to what is taking place...And how much longer from here? I do understand that family is a priority and any information pertaining to my questions would be very much appreciated..

What does this all mean are they saying we have to wait till she has the baby?
Can her being pregant stop him from getting PR?

Please someone help i need answers i dont know here to turn

They are really just saying that they know her due date. I'm sure that if it was a huge issue they would have sent you more than that letter telling you that it was a problem.

I wouldn't worry too much.

What I would worry about is that when she lands it takes 3 months for her Canadian health care to kick in. If she is going to have the baby in that time frame you could build up some hefty hospital bills. :S

Yah i kinda figured that BUT what throws me for a loop is that i never asked anything about that ...Just weird ...I called my MP they clarified everything was the same as b4 ...even threw them for a loop they even didnt understand why they felt the need to tell me that

Don't be surprised if your sponsor is requested to submit a financial evaluation and have to meet the Low Income Cut Off Figure, if your visa is Not issued before your daughter gives birth. As Spousal applicants who have dependents (your daughter) and they in turn have dependents (grandchild) the sponsor then must meet the LICO. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fineval.asp
