Hi Experts,
I was in Canada till June 2014 and did apply for PR under CEC.
At the time of submitting application I did not attached PCC because I moved back to my home country after few days.
Can anyone please suggest me :
1. do I need to apply PCC from my home country only ?
2. or it also requires from Canada as I lived there more than 6 months.
Thank you

Hi,
yes you have to submit the PCC from your home country, but you don't need to submit the Canadian PCC.

PCC not required for Canada. Any other country where you lived more than 6 months continuously will need a PCC.
I am applying PR me myself, wife and daughter. My wife was in Canada for 5.5 months and now she is in India. I will get PCC in next week (checked status on BLS India) so I will attach the same when I will apply for PR. My question is, do I need to attach PCC for my wife as well or PCC for only main applicant is enough?
I know that we can send PCC later also once AOR is generated but need to know if its required for spouse or not. Depending on that, I can start processing.
PCC is required for spouse also.

Checklist says that PCC is needed for countries where applicant spent 6 months or more. It is not mentioned anywhere that Canada is excluded. Where can we confirm this? I am currently in Canada however, will be in my country of origin next month from where I will be sending police certificates. I didn't sent it along with application.

Yes it is. If CIC wants a Canadian police certificate, they will make a specific request.

Hi PMM,
Thanks for sharing this information. so we do not need to apply PCC for Canada until they ask the same.
I got my PCC but my wife didnt get it yet as she is out of Canada. I will send my PCC with application but not for my wife. What should I mark in checklist? Should I tick mark as submitted or keep the checkbox empty?

I believe you should mark the checklist and attach a letter mentioning that you will submit PCC for spouse later.
