good evening ...ok i just ok a letter saying the my application is being forwarded to the kingston jamaica office...my question is how long does it take to get from canada to kingston and how long with it take b4 they contact my husband ?

SOME people get an email called AOR2 from KVO within a month of it being transferred. Keep checking your ECAS and GCKEY to see when they start processing your application, cause sometimes they don't email.

thank you so much for replying ......its saying that they have recived my application on august 22/17 but the process started june 22/18....so dose that mean its going to take 12 months from the processing date ?,....im so confused

You applied Aug 22 2017 and it just got transfered to Kingston? Do you mind me asking why it took so long? The process is supposed to be calculated from the date it was received at mississauga.

I really don't no why it took so long I paid all the fees when I sent in the application...but do you no if someone is going to contact me when it gets to the Kingston office ?

You won't get an email saying it has arrived in Kingston but Kingston will contact you if they need additional documents or if you need an interview. If they don't need anything they will contact you when the visa is ready. It's hard to say if you will get a visa by Aug. Things seem to be moving at turtle speed now. What does your gckey account say? Personally I have passed the 12 months. It's very frustrating. I do not know if there is a group for Guyana.

when i was applying for my husband they said the whole procedure should take up to one year ....it took them almost 11 months to transfer it to the KVO...so i was wondering when immigration Canada said it can take up to one year did that mean only from there end and the KVO can take another year?

Call tomorrow 18882422100 and ask them what is going on. Kingston's email address is kingston.immigration@international.gc.ca send them an email. Include your names, file number and date of births. Did medical passed? What does your ECAS and gckey account say?

when i call cic they said that the file has been transferred and that they cant give me any info and calling KVO i just impossible...but its ok this is all a waiting game so ill just continue to wait patiently

i have decied that im just going to leave it alone focus on my job and wait until the end on the month to see if anything happens bc waking up and checking my email every 10 min lol is getting to me
