I enter Canada as a tourist. I am still married in the Philippines and since I am using my ex husbands last name I have no choice but to put "married" as my marital status. Now that I am here in Canada, luckily i got an employer who gave me an LMO and now waiting for my work permit. If God permits be granted a work permit I am planning to sponsor my kids and my common law partner. And I don't know how will I start with all the statutory declaration of common law. Will it be questionable?

Being granted a work permit doesn't give you ability to 'sponsor' your partner or your children. You must be granted PR (Permanent Residency) in order to sponsor your family to come to Canada with you. If you are just getting a work permit now you are years away from being able to sponsor anyone to come to Canada. I am not sure what the options are for bringing your family with you temporarily as a worker are, you would need to post in the temporary worker section of this forum to get a better understanding.
Hi! Yes here in Canada you can bring your family even if you in work permit as long as its in a high skilled category. Just like what other people do here. Your kids will be in student permit if they are minor and for a spouse/common law they are in open work permit.
