Hi all,

I've spoken to an immigration agent about this but still unclear on the answer...

I completed 1 year of college studies last year on a student visa and was accepted into university commencing Sept 2010. I was also working part time on an off-campus working visa.

After 2 weeks into university this year I have had to withdraw as my family's financial situation has changed and I'm no longer receiving money for tuition. However I want to stay in Canada and be able to work so I can travel and see the country.

My question is; my student visa doesn't expire until July 2012 but do I need to apply for a change in conditions from a student to a visitor visa while I'm waiting to hear if my working holiday program is approved? It seems silly to me as the current processing time for a visitor visa and WHP are both 6-8 weeks?

Any advice is appreciated :)

I have this exact same problem. I dunno what you did. Can you please inform us of your case Aussiebird?

BS you should at least read the Act/Regulations to see the list of things you can deported for.

Well no need to inform them if you have work permit
