Hi everyone, as you read in the title I applied for a TRV under the global skills strategy and I was refused on the ground of Funds & Purpose of Visit & Family Ties. I do believe that I have submitted all the documents/proofs needed when I first applied. Can anyone please help me because I really don't know what else can I add to my next application. My basic info are as follows:
I'm a third-year undergraduate student, major in Journalism, and I was admitted to a Canadian university to conduct research in media studies for 3 months/90 days this summer. The university is offering me funds for $1,800 per month for 3 months ($5,400 in total). Since im receiving money from them, I was told to apply for a visitor visa (work permit exemption) to work at the university.
I'm 21 and living with my parents. Clearly I'm not married and I don't have a job. I've been to US and Europe before Covid, and holds a vaild US visa.
Also here are the docs I submitted for my first application.
1. Funds
Award letter from the university($5,400) + Deposit in my bank account($10,000)
* The university is in Toronto & housing/living costs may surpass $1,800 a month, so I provided another $10,000 to be extra safe. But I dont understand why I'm still refused.
* The $10,000 deposit was sponsored by my mother, so I added her bank statements & certificate of employment & an explanation letter from her.
2. Purpose of visit
Offer letter from the university + IELTS score(band 8.0) + Academic trascript(GPA 3.9 out of 4.0) (proof that I met the requirements for the internship)
Research proposal (tell VO what I will be doing in Canada)
Certificate of enrollment from my home university (proof that im still an undergraduate and i had to leave Canada to finish studies as soon as the internship ends)
Motivation letter (explain why I need this internship & how it will help me in my future studies)
* I didn't submit anything in particular to explain my family ties tho, bc im single and the only ties i have are my parents... Instead I thought the Certificate of enrollment would do the job becuase I'm one of the best students at my school and I haven't finish my undergraduate studies (I will graduate in July 2024), so I will not give up on a Bachlor's degree that easy just to stay in Canada. (I clearly stated that in my motivation letter.) Does that not make any sense to the VO??
