Please help me to sort this ! My father is a Canadian citizen. I would like to move to Canada. I am 21 years old now! My father is not born in Canada but he got citizenship through naturalization as a Canadian Citizen....he is living in Canada for a total of 19 years. I read something about dependent child sponsorship and Citizenship by descent. Does any of these apply to me? Please help Stars and others. Thanks.

As he has been living in Canada for 19 years and you are now 21 years old, I will assume that your father obtained his Canadian citizenship after you were born. This means that you are not a Canadian citizen. And because you are now over the age of 18, you are not considered a dependent child and therefore not eligible to be sponsored.
If you wish to come to Canada, you will have to immigrate on your own merits.
