I am a work permit holder and got married recently. My wife is in India right now. I have 493 point right now as per CRS calculator if I put my marrital status as married and put ‘no’ in other two options :

i. Is your spouse or common-law partner a citizen or permanent resident of Canada?
No
ii. Will your spouse or common-law partner come with you to Canada?
No

I am little bit confused now, here I am saying that I am married but we don’t have any plans for my wife to come here. But that doesn’t true, just for getting more points I am selecting that one.

Please suggest me, should I put my PR application first (express entry) or I should put my wife work permit dependent file first?

If your wife goes to canada as a work permit dependent then wouldn't she be out of status when you get your PR as she won't be a PR?

@navinball As far as I know, she can stay in canada till work permit expiry date even if I become PR. My question is will I be able to put my PR file selecting that my spouse will not enter in canada - option ii (as I just put my file only for PR).

I've seen cases where people apply for pr with spouse non accompanying even if they are already in Canada.
