Ladies, and gentlemen

Please help to determine whether I'm eligible to immigrate to Canada, or not.
I have a Syrian passport :(.
I lived my whole entire life in Jordan.
I have a bachelor's degree in Biomedical engineering.
I have about 3 years of experience as a field service engineer, working on a well known brands of medical devices.
I believe my English skills are good-excellent.
I am still single.
I am 26 years old.
I have no relatives in Canada.
I have no working offer (and I don't know how to get one).

Also please be so kind, and help me to know what path should I take. And for what province should I apply, to have a better chance.

I also have a publication in a well known scientific journal and I don't know if that help.

You cannot apply under the current FSW program since your field is not listed as one of the eligible occupations. You could apply, however, if you had an eligible job offer from the employers.

You should look into the express entry program beginning in Jan 1st 2015. It is not supposed to have an occupation list and in theory, people from any skilled field can apply. But all the details are not out yet. Only the highest qualified (that is with highest points) will be invited to apply for PR under this system. You can check the following link to figure out how much point you can get.

Additionally, this website has a simplified calculator that you can use:

This link provides relevant information for this program:

Also, if applying through FSW, there are a few minimum requirements. The following link will give you the requirements for the current system. But note that they might change starting in Jan 1st, but still will give you an idea of what you will need.

I really appreciate your kind answer. Please help me to choose, I have a bachelor's degree (5 years of full time study). I don't know what should I pick from the list below:

I also don't know which test is better to take (Toefl or IELTS), and what type should I take (for example Toefl IBT or ?).
And finally what ECA organization should I get an assessment from?

Thank YOU.. :D :D
