Please help me on this strike problem

Due to the Ontario Colleges Strike, I could not pursue any studies in 5 weeks. My college ( Conestoga College ) is now offering us an option to withdraw the whole semester and takes it all over again, which will be on September 2018. Until that day, I will have a big gap from January to August. In that case, will I be sent back to my country? And will I have to take all the procedure all over again ( especially Visa and Study/Work permit ) ?

Given the nature of the strike and the press coverage reference possible special student provisions it might be better to seek specialist input from your college on any discussions they have had or will have with IRCC.

Your college will not be the only one faced with challenges for delayed courses for internationals and whilst forum members can respond with a standard response for a delayed attendance you would hope that IRCC would implement a one off process to cater for this scenario which no fault of any student.
