Hi,

I'm Vietnamese. Until now, I got around 5 years working experience as Business Analyst, IT Helpdesk and Project Manager in Vietnam with a local Bachelor degree of Computer Science and Engineering. I am applying for Study Permit to study in Candana to study 8 months Network Technician Certificate at SAIT , Calgary, Alberta.

Could you please help me on this question: Is that easy to find an IT job in Calgary? Is there any chance for me (Vietnamese person, working experience out-side Canada) to find a job in IT after getting the Network Technician certificate at SAIT? How long does it usually take to find a job in Calgary?

Thank you so much for your advice,
Jun

Expect it will be difficult to find a job. If you are planning on studying in Canada to eventually obtain PR - you should take a 2 year course so that you can obtain a 3 year post graduate work permit. It's going to be very difficult to qualify for PR with only an 8 month course.

No. And with oil prices still down it is getting harder by the day.

Discard your experience, it is no good. Canadian experience is a must. Aim for junior/entry level.

Depends on many factors. Usually for a fresh person 2-3 months.
