Hello All - I'm planning to do my landing soon, and will need to come back to the U.S. afterwards. Does anyone know, at the Pearson airport and for a flight back to the U.S., do you go through U.S. immigration before you go check your bags? If you must check your bags first, what would happen to your luggage if you get stopped by immigration?
I'd like to use AVR to come back to the U.S. As AVR-based re-entry seems to be at the whim of the custom/immigration officer, I would just like to be prepared beforehand should any issue arise at the immigration counter.
