Hello everyone!

Please please advice with my situation. :'(

At the moment I am waiting for the ainp certificate (semi skilled front desk clerk).
4 months since I applied. Few days ago they increased processing times again.

Therefore I want to try to ask my manager to make me as a front desk supervisor or accommodation supervisor. I believe it is NOC B which is allowed to apply for CEC.

But here is the question.
In my lmo and job contract says that I am just a front desk. Can I apply with only letter from manager where it will be written that I came as a front desk, but was promoted to a supervisor a year ago and etc ??
Or the CEC will check it in my pay stubs or anywhere else?

Another question is - can the AINP find out that im applying through CEC as a supervisor and deny my ainp application? (Which is semi skilled front desk as per their available stream).

Right now we are trying to apply for the new LMIA due to i need to renew my work permit in february 2015. Im not sure I will get a positive lmia... But again that lmia will be stating that im a front desk, not a supervisor.

Any ideas?
Please help seniors with advice.
Im really mad and sad about the AINP all the time increases their processing times. Im thinking they might cancel it soon at all...

And the CEC is just till the end of this year...

Thanks to everyone and good luck!

It's not just the job title, but the job description that needs to match the appropriate NOC code. What is your job description? There are a lot of NOC B categories that they are no longer accepting applications for, so make sure you check that out as well :)

Well at the moment my duties as per contract are just frint desk clerk.
But in fact I do more and i train new staff too.

So the only letter from employer wont be enough to try?
Letter stating my duties according to the required Noc B plus my ordinary front desk duties. Plus customer good references.

I dont see that front desk supervisors or accomodation supervisors are exempt from CEC.

Except if your work permit is for a front desk clerk, you need a new LMIA and work permit as a supervisor if you want to work as a supervisor.

So... you have an LMO for a specific position (Front Desk Clerk), and a closed work permit. That means you are ONLY authorized to work as a Front Desk Clerk. CIC knows what's on your work permit. And you want to ask your manager to lie on your behalf? You might want to re-think this...

Be careful when you "do more" than what your LMO/Work Permit allow you. If your employer requires you to do more, that's a perfect excuse to ask them to apply for a new LMO/Work Permit for your new position, and maybe a raise 8)

Don't be shy about this, as sometimes employers need you more than you think..
