My spouse was told to be on medical surveillance for inactive TB when she first landed in Canada last year. She was told by the officer at the port of entry to visit the public health office. We did visit the office and were told to take an x-ray. We took the x-ray and submitted it to the public health office. They examined it and sent a letter to us after a week stating that my spouse is discharged from Immigration medical surveillance for inactive TB and the information has been reported to CIC and no further action is required.

Is this something that I should be worried about when I get a medical request for my CEC application?

Dont have any comments at all just to push your thread back on top as you seem really need some help... Doubt how many of us would have similar experience though...

Good luck

Thanks s_w_u.

Friends, any advise please.

A discharge is good yahoo - it means she is fine. They will just be informing CIC of that. I wouldn't worry.

Friends, any seniors who actually went thru this kind of a situation..please advice...

Jsm0085 and other seniors:

So when are asked for medicals under PR processing, now can we mention as a NO for any such medical conditions which are INACTIVE state while filling form in medical lab? Any issues from CIC? Or better to write YES and with a word besides as "INACTIVE state and no medicines needed".
