I am planning to visit my wife and daughter in Canada to celebrate her 2nd birthday and another reason for this is my wife is currently unemployed as she is taking care of our baby alone and we cannot afford private child care at the moment and for her to be able to find employment we need someone to take care of our daughter until she gets employment and once she gets employed we will then be able to afford child care.

Our daughter suffers from a medical condition and needs constant attention (She is getting better now and hoping that she outgrow her condition soon).

I’m wondering on how much do I need in my bank account for a month visit and for how long does it need to be in my bank account?

I am currently employed overseas and under contract until next year and I am afraid that this could be one of the reasons for my rejection.

Another reason to reject my tourist visa application is that I have family ties in Canada and they might think that I will not come back once I enter Canada but this is not my intention as I am still under contract and I do not want to break my contract with my employer as I have been working with them for a few years now and I have good standing with the company and personally have good working relationship with every one I work with including my boss.

Would appreciate if you could give me an idea on how to best approach my tourist visa application and what additional documents do I need to get the best outcome possible.

You may suggest that I bring my daughter to where I am now but unfortunately the visa process for dependents here is hideous and it would be the same situation as no one will take care of her while I work.

All of those are reasons why you will likely be rejected. Your wife and daughter in Canada are family ties. Looking for someone to work to support your child means you may be doing the work in Canada, which would not be permitted. Contract work in a third country means you have weak ties to home.

You may wish to find some facts about yourself that are stronger times to your home country. Otherwise, you may find it hard to get a TRV.

Can your wife sponsor you to come to Canada more permanently?
