Whalley - some parts / streets are really bad (homeless, druggies etc). Don't forget to get a bulletproof vest.
Good luck!

There are lots of rental apartments on 150th street between 104th and 108th avenue. Rents range from C$750-C$900 per month for 1BHK.
There are 3 bus stops on 150th street between 104th ave and 108th ave for convenience. Also it's approx. 7 mins walking distance to Guildford Town Center (metro area mall with Walmart inside). Guildford Exchange Bay is next to the mall which is a major transit exchange.
Real Canadian Superstore is on 146th st and 104th avenue, 8-10 mins walk from Guildford Town Center.
As for Indian groceries, there's a Sabzi Mandi store and couple of Fruticana Stores, all 10-15 mins by bus.
