FML.
I just went to eCAS and put in my file number that begins with an "E" that I got in the email. In the place of birth field, I put in my nationality, instead of my country of birth, and the file showed up.
So I was putting in "Sri-Lanka" every time as my "Place of Birth" which is what its supposed to be, even though my citizenship is "India" and I have NEVER held Sri-Lankan citizenship. So on eCAS, seeing that Sri-Lanka wasn't working, I decided to put "India" and voila...it worked!
So I'm gonna go ahead and send them an email, asking them to change my "Place of Birth". Maybe they have it wrong on their file. AND EVEN my birth certificate says that I was born in Sri-Lanka but registered as an Indian citizen!

perfectly reasonable. I also born in Country A, but hold Citizzenship for B my dad country and C my mom. So, send them a note and they'll correct the prob.
Thanks for your reply. Now something related to this....should I go ahead and get my medicals done or wait for a new Medical Form A to come in? (the attached medical form has the "Place of Birth" field in it, and it isn't right).
Also, the instructions say the following:
Please check the accuracy of all information printed on the attached medical form. If there are any errors, please advise us by mail or fax to 716 858 9591 and show your file number.
Now, my file has been transferred to Ottawa-CPP. But the address on top of the instruction sheet has the Buffalo address. What should I do? And do you think CIC 1800 number may be able to fix the error?
