Place of Birth In work permit extension

Hi,
My work permit is expiring this September and i wanted to renew it. While filling the extension form, I noticed that during my initial application i filled in my place of birth as per my birth certificate(My original birth place) but my passport has a different place of birth on it as it was never corrected back home. Can you please let me know what should i consider filling in for the place of birth field? I am on open work permit.

Fill in where you were actually born. It's not complicated.
