This whole thing was a simple one line question - "Can the photos be taken from a Digital Camera?".

The part where you said - "Is it allowed to send digital photos?" is where it messed up for me because that's what it exactly means - sending photos in Digital (which is soft copy).

Forgive me - I am an IT guy!

:)

Oh! No worries at all. The important thing is that you helped me clarify the matter... :)

That's a mistake because different CIC categories have different photo specifications. You should have used the instructions in your specific package and do not let the photographer give you the same spec photos as those he gave the last Canadian immigrants he dealt with.

I agree. OP, when you pick up the photos, use a ruler and make sure the chin to crown height and all other dimensions meet the specifications required in the Guide for FSW applications, not other kinds of applications!

Hi Everyone,

I'd like to request your help with a question regarding the photo specification required for FSW.
In the instruction guide it says: "photos must be identical produced from the same untouched negative". My question is: Is it mandatory to have the photo done on negative film? Is it allowed to send digital photos? I am asking because I did not find any place that takes negative film photos where I live.
Could you please tell me your experience with that?

Thanks a lot

Use a paperclip to Bunch the primary applicant, the spouse and the child's photos separately. This will give you 3 bunches (minimum). Then place it in a small envelope and write your Name and Photographs on the top of the envelope.

I placed the envelope on the top of the package (on the document checklist) because its a small envelope and can be misplace if placed in the middle or end. Where you would like to place it is your choice.

Do not forget to mention the name and other details in the back of 5 photos as required by CIC (refer photo requirements).

Just to 'Label' what the envelope contains i wrote "Photographs" on the Top followed by my Full Name on TOP of the Envelope containing the photographs.
