PhD stream FSW

Hi,

I have a quick question.

I will be completing 2 years of my PhD soon.
I can apply for PR in FSW under PhD stream.

But Do I also need 1 years of work experience?

One of the requirements is being PhD student for 2 years but you have to complete the required points under FSW to apply.

I sent my application on December and I got my credit card charged today, anyone knows what happen after this, how long does it take?

you need one year of work experience. better real experience than RA/TA but that may work if you can prove employment during a continuous period of time. No one know how long it will take to process. I guess the same as other classes.

Greetings friends!

CIO in Sydney just received my application package under the PhD stream. I know the process will take at least a year if not more. Meanwhile, is there a way for me to request an extension for my temporary resident/student status based on the fact that my immigration application is in processing?
