PGWP with part time first year

So I’m a first year student and I’m still waiting for my visa. I needed to enroll in online classes but most were full, so I thought I’d switch to part time and use a transfer credit and do half credit course in summer. This way I can meet the first year credit req before my second year and be full time in the next 3 years of my program. I realise now for PGWP u need to be full time in all years. So it’s unlikely I’ll get it. BUT technically according to my course load - I’m only considered part time in the fall session. As I have max term course load in winter term, aka a full winter load. So am I considered part time only in one semester ? Or will IRCC consider me part time for the whole year / both sessions? Tution wise it’s part time ...

It goes by semesters so you need to be full time for each semester.

Thanks! I’ll just have to write a really good LOE when I apply for PGWP in 4 years, and blame it on the pandemic haha

You need to be full time for every semester, to be eligible for pgwp

Yeah i know but there’s nothing I can do now. I’ve seen lots of people here apply for pgwp and attach a letter explaining why they were part time in one semester so I’ll just do that
