PGWP -very important question for everyone??

hi ,
i think this is gonna be a very common issue with many people out there .
if a student completes a two years degree ,he is given 3 years work permit ,we know that right , BUT......... what if his/her passport is expiring say after a year and a half at the time of applying for PGWP ??
and u cant renew your passport anytime before 6 months of its expiry.
so ,what should be done in this situation ? or the CIC now issues the date beyond the expiry of passport ??

so many people i am sure would be looking at this
if any of you know anything about that would really appreciate that.

1. Pretty simple and it has been addressed a number of times.
2. You get the PGWP valid until the expiry of the passport.
3. When you re-new your passport, you apply for the balance of time on PGWP.
4. No, they won't issue it pass the expiry date of the passport.

No it doesn't. The OP only gets a PGWP to the expiry of his passport. When gets a new passport, s/he has to apply for balance of his/her time to Vegreville of the PGWP.

Except some people from visa free countries get there PGWP's even beyond their passport expiry date.
