PGWP-related Question on taking qualifying programs prior to a master's degree

Hi guys, first time to post here so I am sorry in advance for any improper forum etiquette that I have displayed.

I have a question related to the computation of PGWP duration and the required study permit/s in the following scenario:

I have an undergraduate degree from a non-Canadian university and I am looking to apply for a master's degree program here in Canada. After reading about the minimum admission requirements from the schools I've looked into, I noticed that they require advanced undergraduate courses that were not taught in my undergraduate program.

To fulfill the minimum admission requirement, I am thinking about taking the required advanced courses as a non-degree student in the same Canadian university for one school year or two terms, and then applying for their one-year master's program after. Assuming that the university admission permits this, will I need to apply for a student permit visa twice (once for the non-degree courses, and another while in Canada for the master's degree)? Also, will this be computed as a total full-time study duration of 2 years, which qualifies for a 3-year PGWP?

It depends on how many courses you are taking in that first year and whether that will individually count as a certificate or diploma.
