PGWP extension and visitor record

Hi,
My PGWP is expiring in 3 days nd I am applying for work permit extension. Do you know how much time it us taking for the refusals to come?? And if I should parallely apply for visitor record? Please let me know I am really tensed as I have already applied for LMIA and it’s been two months and I have not got any revert.
I also wanted to know if I can apply for visitor record during my work permit extension application as I’m afraid my visitor record will come early and I’ll have to leave work.
Is it OK if I apply for visitor record the day I get my work permit extension refusal will there be a problem?

LMIAs submitted in March/April are currently being processed. You aren’t eligible for an extension and IRCC has been refusing “fake” extensions faster. So hope for a couple of months before refusal. Refusal letter will say if you can restore or not, or be asked to leave. Is it high wage LMIA?

Yes its High wage LMIA. I applied in november
also what do you mean by to wait for couple of months? As my status is expiring on 4th Feb.

Applying for a fake extension so it may only be a couple of months before refusal where you must stop working. LMIAs are taking 8-10 months to process. What is your wage? Employer posted the job and could not find anyone?

I have applied for LMIA through the same company in which I have been working from past 1 year on my PGWP. High wage stream in November. My lawyer said we would apply for work permit extension so we could borrow some time and I could keep working and parallel to it apply for visitor record. Because the whole idea is to not leave Canada before my LMIA comes. The wage is above $30.

I wanted to know if I can apply visitor record after a month of applying my extension.

You need to apply for the visitor record before your PGWP expires if you want to not lose your status if the work permit extension is refused. Otherwise you're going to end up out of status and will need to apply for restoration.

You can apply for visitor record anytime. Working for them is great but employer would have posted the job to Job Bank and other sites in September to show recruiting efforts.
