So Canada's immigration minister announced today that they will be extending any PGWP expiring in 2023, just like they did in 2022. I'm still not sure how much time will they extend it for, but it'll most likely be 18 months. Applications for extension will be open starting April 6th.
I believe this is tied up with the fact that they haven't been doing any CEC specific draws and people are getting the Canadian experience but not making the 490+ for the recent draws. This is great news for a lot of people, including me.
My PGWP expired on 7/7/2021 Case Type # 56. Based on a special announcement my PGWP was extended until 1/16/2023 ( Case Type # 20). My case type is different in the new work permit. Am I eligible for 18 months extension under the new policy. Please advise

I think you'll need to wait for the application process to open on April 6th to be sure. Based on what's been published so far, it sounds like the answer is no. But definitely wait until the full rules are out to confirm.
What about people who were eligible to extend the PGWP in 2022 for 18 months and those 18 month expire at the end of 2023? Can they extend with the new rule? So, the PGWP expires at the end of 2023 after it was extended in 2022. I couldn't find the answer to this question anywhere so am asking here. Thnx

i recently got my pgwp extension approval ( in Canada approval letter) but next week i have to travel but didnt got the physical work permit yet to my mail as it will take time to arrive to my canadian address .i have a valid trv so can i show my in canada approval letter and trv to re enter ?
