Hello,

My PGWP is expiring soon and I have applied for PR but that is going to take a really long time to come. In the time being my employer is not willing to give me a LMIA. What other kind of work permit can I apply for to continue working. I am on a contact with a company for 1 year if that helps to know.

Please let me know what are my options?

When you say that you have applied for PR - what do you mean by that? Do you have AOR? If you have AOR, then you can apply for a bridging open work permit. If instead you mean that you've submitted an express entry profile and are waiting to be selected - then you don't really have any options other than having your current employer obtain an LMIA or finding a new employer willing to give you a job offer and approved LMIA.

Sorry to jump in, and thank you for your effort here. I currently hold PGWP and received AOR for PR after LMIA support on EE profile. Are my options still limited to bridging, or shall I apply for a regular closed work permit? LMIA still has one-month assessment validation.
