Hello,

Regarding PGWP eligibility, I see information on the website that allows students to complete 50% of their program online from outside of Canada without being impacted.
However, what if due to COVID-19 (as summer 2020 and fall 2020 are online), one graduates in fall 2020 but that is more than 50% of the program online but the student is still in Canada during this time.. does this make them ineligible? (Started in Fall 2019).

This wouldn't make much sense because if I graduate this summer, then that would make me eligible (since it is less than 50% online); however, if I continue to the fall online then I won't be eligible?

Does anyone have any information about such a case?

I don't believe the rules have changed in this regard. If more than 50% of your program is online you're ineligible for a PGWP. You should probably talk to a lawyer though.

According to this document by the Canadian Bureau for International Education, those in my case should be fine.
Page 13 has a response to such a situation.

It seems the over 50% online is not an issue IF you have already started before the pandemic, but you must be in Canada physically at least 50% of the time even if the courses are online.

You can study the whole thing online if you are in Canada if online study is due to Covid.
