Hi, I finished up my BA at Concordia last December, and am looking at doing a 1 year course at a college after taking a year off. As I know you receive a 3 year PGWP after finishing a 2+ year program, it would obviously not be the best if I didn't take advantage of it, and then take a 1 year course after as that would only give me a 1 year PGWP. Is there any way to delay using the 3 year PGWP until after I graduate from the college next year? Much thanks.

How will you take a year off? On what visa? Do you have work experience or are you working currently?

Short answer is no. If you do as planned, you'll qualify for a 1 year PGWP.

Thank you for the answer. I have read online that you can do two 1 year programs in a row and this will satisfy the requirements for the 3 year PGWP. If this is true, what is the maximum gap allowed between the two programs? It has to be right after one another? The government website was a bit hazy on this.

150 days gap maximum.
