Here is my situation.
1) Graduated from UBC ---> obtainted PGWP - (2009. 2. 18)
2) My PGWP expiring on 2012. 2. 17
3) Currently working as a bank teller (which is not good enough in the NOC list)
I am aware I have to work full time for at least 1 year, in a qualified job position (NOC list).
So my question is, when is the lastest I can fulfill my 1 year of full time job in a qualified job position?
What if I move into a good enough job position exactly 1 year prior to my PGWP expiring?
While my PR application is in progress, my PGWP will be expire.
Hello there,
*Look for a new job right now while being employed at your current job( you got to put food on the plate.)
*Talk to your supervisor about your situation and ask if theres any other position in your company (NOC skill O,A,B) could be financial officer etc, a supervisory role will work as well eg supervisor of bank tellers.
*Get your 1 year experience ASAP and apply right way for your PR after getting the NOC (O,A,B) 1 year experience.
But yes, if your PGWP expires while the application is in process, you will have to leave Canada, unless you can get a temporary work permit or a temp residence permit (no work allowed)
