I just needed clarification on an issue. I have a PGWP valid until August 11 2013. I recently completed my one year of skilled work experience and submitted my application for PR under the CEC Student category. I also have been accepted to a 2 year post graduate business program, which is full time and will require a study permit:
a) Can the fact that I have studied in Canada, worked and now plan on studying again affect the visa officer's decision to deny me a second study permit?
b) Does my PR application affect my study permit or vice-versa?
c) Is my PGWP still valid should the study visa be approved?
Please let me know your thoughts or if you can offer any advice.

Hi guys. I would really appreciate some help on this since I believe my situation is very unique.
I was doing Masters from Queen's University.
My study permit expired 2015Aug12. I just finished and defended my thesis on 2015Aug28.
I understand that in order for me to apply for my PGWP i need to apply for the restoration of my status. But I have a few questions.
1. Do I apply for PGWP and restoration together in one package?
2. How can I apply for the restoration of my study permit since I have technically graduated? Or do I apply for restoration of some other status? Please advise.
3. Also since I defended after my study permit expired does that mean that I studied "illegally" and will be kicked out of Canada? I'm freaked out. Please tell me what I can do.
1. Do I apply for PGWP and restoration together in one package? u need a valid study permit while u apply for PGWP so I would assume u should apply for study permit restoration first. but that could take months. do not graduate if possible till u get study permit restored.
2. How can I apply for the restoration of my study permit since I have technically graduated? Or do I apply for restoration of some other status? Please advise. talk to ur university international students office they sometimes give u a letter for a 3 month extension
3. Also since I defended after my study permit expired does that mean that I studied "illegally" and will be kicked out of Canada? I'm freaked out. Please tell me what I can do. no idea about this
