PGWP after my studies

Hello, guys; I’m wondering about my future PGWP application, so I’d like to ask a couple of questions about it. My study permit will expire on the last day of my course(college), which is two years; thereafter, I need to apply for the PGWP. Many of my friends have their visas for two more months to go, so they can easily apply and not care about timings, but I don't. I've seen the official website of the Canadian Government where it states that I should renew my student visa prior to applying for the PGWP; however, someone told me in my first year that I have 90 days after my student visa expiration date to apply for the PGWP. Also, I've heard some guys apply for the PGWP 3 months before the expiration date and then just attach their diploma to the application. Having said that, I'm extremely confused with the process. Therefore, could anyone tell me about their experience or give me any information about it?

You need your final transcript and a letter from your school confirming you have completed your program to apply for a PGWP. If your study permit expires before you can do that, then you need to apply to change your status to visitor before your study permit expires. Then you can apply for a PGWP. If you don't do this, you would be out of status and have to pay additional fees to restore your status as a student within 90 days.

You have 180 days from the date you completed your course to apply for a PGWP, or 180 days from the date of your study permit expiry, whichever comes first. You will not be able to work under implied status while waiting for a decision on your PGWP application if you didn't apply while your study permit was still valid.

To avoid issues you should apply to renew your TRV as early as you can and remain in Canada until you receive your PGWP.
