I currently have an experience of 4.5 years and deputed abroad for 1.5 years. I am working in an IT industry as Network engineer
Once I return to India I would like to apply for PG diploma in Canada preferably a 2 years course .
Please view my profiles below
10th year 2003 - 83%
12th year 2005 - 84%
Bsc IT year 2008 - 75%
CCNA year 2011 and pursuing CCNP certification
Can you please let me know If I would be able to or will be eligible to apply for a PG diploma in Canada for 2 years. I heard a study gap of 5 years will not be accepted . Kindly clarify and put your thoughts
I don't think study-gap will be any concern if you have appropriate experience letter.
Try to get good score in IELTS like 7 or more, because the VO expects good IELTS score for mature applicant.
I have heard from one of my friend for a case where a person graduated in 2004 but yet got visa approved for PG diploma.
I read under SPP I cannot apply for study permit after 5 years gap in education, hence the worry.Once I come to India my gap would be 6 years. In this case which category should I go with.
The 2004 case was approved under SPP and I know another person whose SPP visa got approved with same 6 years experience as yours this year.
Since your academic background is also strong , you will definately get SPP visa.
Only thing you should remember is apply for GIC much earlier which takes quiet a lot time for processing, even though many will say it does not take time.
GIC makes your case strong when you apply under SPP.Keep documentation simple for SPP.
