I have a question regarding the NOC code of a PSW working in a nursing home. I was under the impression that I fall under NOC 33102, the nursing aides and orderlies NOC, because I found my job title there, and my duties line up pretty well with the duties according to my job description. I also meet all employment requirements for training and education. However, several individuals online are saying I fall under NOC 44101 regardless. I'm confused because I do not work in clients' private residence, support agency, or non-profit. I work in a city-owned nursing home, and even the pathway for home support worker says I have to work in residents' homes, not a nursing home. But the people saying I still fall under home support are pretty convinced and say I can't apply for Express Entry because of this. Could someone help clear the confusion?
