I recd ITA in Sep 2017 and around the same time I took a personal loan of about $6000. My current balance in my bank letter and statements show a total balance of $20000. I want to ask will the declaration of personal loan have a negative impact on my application? Because even after deducting the loan amount, I have more than the required $12500.
My consultant has advised that I get a fixed deposit created and ask for a letter from the bank that shows information only about the fixed deposit. And, do not show my bank statements to hide the loan. I feel that I should declare the loan in the letter of explanation and show the statements.
Please advise your recommendation.
