Personal Activities/Travel History

Hello,

I have all of the dates and information for these 2 and am wondering about the manner in which I should include them in my application.

For Travel History:

Let's say that I went back home for 1 summer (May-August 2011) but took a week long trip (June 1-June 10, 2011) in between. Should I be writing:

a) May 1, 2011- June 1 - Home Country
June 1-June 10 - X Country
June 11-August 30 - Home Country

OR

b) May 1, 2011- August 30, 2011 - Home Country
June 1-June 10 2011 - X Country

Same with Personal History

Can I have -

Educational Background: September 2009 - June 2014 - X University
Work History - Jan 2012- April 2012 - X Company

Or Does it need to look like the "a" above

Would appreciate any insights on this.
