I see too many forums on PRTD, just opening this up to record your experiences of PRTD so that it will help people who are going to apply.

Application Submitted: 14-Jul-2015, VFS Bengaluru, India
Application processed by: 15-Jul-2015, Canadian Consulate, Bengaluru [South applications are processed now in Bengaluru]
PRTD Issued: 17-Jul-2015
Received the passport: 21-Jul-2015
Entry: Single entry only though I requested multiple entries and CIC website says you can request.
Processing time: Usually 10 days in India as advised by VFS
Forms submitted: PRTD form, Family information form, VFS consent form, Entry Exit form (I cant find this form online but they provided me there), Visa fees paid on CIC website, service charge paid in cash.

if its Pune, it will go to Delhi consulate per my understanding. If you had submitted on 20th July, it would have reached Delhi on 21st and even if you count 10 days processing time you should hear back from them by tomorrow. 16th Aug - you have enough time, not to worry.

I read your other forum about your PRTD. Congrats! So it is 8 days in Manila, is it?

I submitted my second PRTD application in London VFS on 4th Aug 2015 and I got my passport back on 7th Aug. This time I was issued a multiple entry for an year yay! Hopefully CIC sends me my PR cards before that

what was the validity period for the first single entry TD you got ? and can we apply for second TD if first TD has expired and we have not entered canada ?

The validity on my first one was for 6 months. Of course you can apply if the reason is valid and it should convince the visa officer.

I wonder why they gave me PRTD with 3 months validity

But you got TD again while your first TD was valid !

I entered using the first issued PRTD and the officer at the border crossed the page, in short it is a single entry and no more valid after the first travel.

I have submitted my travel document application on July 14th, 2015 in Amman, Jordan. Now it's been more than a month with no answer and it keeps saying application under process. I really need to get back to Canada it's driving me crazy somebody please help me with any information. How long does the application still need and what do I do if I want to contact them? Please help me please!!

Hi Guys, I submitted my PRTD Application on 17th August 2015, in jalandhar which they forwarded to Chandigarh.

Really tensed as to when i will get it, 15 days passed

Planning to have my Ticket by this month End

Has anyone tried applying for a transit document via the Japanese Visa office in Tokyo? If so, how long did it take?
