Permanent Resident ......Sponsering a friend

Hello

I am sunny. I got my permanent residency 4 months ago. One of my friend would like to come to Winnipeg (Manitoba). I have been living in Manitoba (Winnipeg) for the last 3 years, because I came here as a student.

I would like to know can I sponsor him. My health card is 3 years older.

If I would like to sponsor my brother can I do that.

What will be the procedures for both the case can some one help me in that? I will really appreciate the effort.

You would have to ask your friend and your brother to complete the self assessment work sheet at http://www.immigratemanitoba.com/asset_library/2013/05/manitoba-immigration-mpnp-points-worksheet-interactive.pdf to see if they have enough points to qualify.

I did not see anywhere whether you can sponsor two people or two families at once but I would think probably not. You would have to contact MPNP and ask about that. Whoever you sponsor first would have to land and settle in Manitoba in order for you to sponsor the other. If the person you sponsored does not settle in Manitoba, it will prevent you from sponsoring anybody else.

Can I only sponsor my friend or I need one more person to sponsor him. Some lawyers say 2 some say one. How can i find that information
