I received an email from the canadian consulate in seattle requesting my passport. Does that mean I was approved the residency? Also, in the email, they gave instructions on how to send the passport. I prefer to travel and present the passport myself. Is that possible? IF yes, do I have to do it in seattle or any other consulate in the US? I feel worried to send my passport by mail and I am sure mailing it is much slower.

Whoo hoo you're in the last stage!! You have to mail it sadly, they will not entertain anyone showing up there. Hubby just sent his to LA, with tracking. If you add tracking, you'll give yourself a peace of mind. Good luck and congrats!

Your PR card isn't issued until a number of weeks after you land in Canada and become a PR. So no - you won't receive your PR card along with your passport.
