YES/NO

Can you give us more information? Such as whether your wife or yourself is a PR who is employed on a full time basis by a Canadian business outside Canada or federal/provincial agency.

Are you working as a trucker or a driver for a Canadian business? Hope others can help you what actually counts in 5.4.

If your days out of Canada in US is work related (truck driver), I think you can try to count these days in...but that's my personal feeling...you are WORKING for a Canadian company and as a truck driver, US is absolutely a very important destination. Have your company prepare a letter for you. If possible, list all these days with working details.

Just want to clarify where should I count these days travelling to usa work related in my travelling history or where should I put those days.I go to usa 3 times a month since 3 years ,So i have to put those 3 years history?,can you please also me with question 5.4 regarding my PR spouse I mentioned above?

5.5 says you must provide all your absences from Canada during the past 5 or since becoming PR if less than 5 years ago. List your absence from the most recent to the oldest.

Even if my absence is for few hours or one day from canada to usa, then also ?
YES! You need to show every trip from/to Canada...even if you drive across the border and back to get gas.

If you drive your truck to the U.S. on a Monday morning and return to Canada late Tuesday evening, those two partial days outside of Canada still count as two days in Canada, when calculating your residency days for PR Card renewal. You don't lose those two days, but you do have to show them as travel. You have hopefully kept very accurate records of each trip, because you'll need to list them all for the last 5 years.
