I submitted my online application for my Tourist Visa in Dec last year.

Its currently still pending.

Is there perhaps any way to escalate the application?

You are within normal processing times. In July, raise a webform. Has background and eligibility been completed?

It states its still in process. My flight is scheduled for the 14Th May.

Well processing from SA is almost 6 months. If still in process then it is not completed so still have some time to wait. IRCC tells you not to buy a ticket. Maybe change it.

So no worries. Just wait until you get a response. IRCC doesn’t care about dates in your itinerary, and doesn’t expedite your file just because you want to travel in May. In July, if you have not gotten a response and processing times haven’t changed then raise a webform
