I have a Common Law PR application on the go with a few months more to wait if all goes well. Currently working in Canada on a Nafta visa, which expires..short sighted I didn't apply for a long enough visa the first time thinking PR would be done by now.. All good, I plan to go down to the border and apply again. Should I make it known that I have a PR application pending?

There isn't really any need to tell them upfront but they will be able to see the PR app in the system anyways, so don't be surprised if they bring it up.
Thanks

I remember that I did my second TN visa renewal ( one year increment ) by mail. I assume that your "a Nafta visa" is TN visa. Is it different now from what how it was in the past?

For my initial visa I drove down to the border with my application, stated I was applying for a NAFTA visa and went through the process. I was told I could do the same for a renewal.. unless by mail is easier?
