Hi guys
I am about to send my initial application to cio. Do i need to send pcc as well???? And how long it does take to get AOR from cio nowadays???
plz reply
Thanks
Rick
it depends upon instruction from your VO and not CIO.
Some VOs need and some don't and be careful about its validity(not over 3 months old)
So check carefully in your visa office specific list.

Thanks mr rana. does it mean that i need to check VO checklist as well, as am sending application to CIO first...
not only that...you also need to submit all documents as mentioned in your visa office check list which is actually the main task.
If you are sending your application to CIO under one of NOC29 codes, it needs following:
A) CIO Check list + all applications (signed & dated)
B) Visa Office Check list + all documents (education, transcripts, birth, marriage, experience, reference letter etc.) = Notarized or original.
C) IELTS Exam (English language proficiency proof)
D) PCC (depends upon VO)
Read both CIO and Visa Office guides carefully before making any submission.
Use the following link to find and download visa office-specific form

Hope it helps

You may wish to follow this thread to start estimating how long an AOR is going to take:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/applications-after-266-in-any-noc-connect-here-to-get-the-status-t49421.4020.html
As of yet, not a single post-June-26 applicant has received an AOR, and some people applied in early July. Therefore if you send your application now you should expect many months delay before receiving an AOR. Some people have been told it could take up to 33 weeks (8 months), although we're hoping it's a worse case scenario situation. Nevertheless there will certainly be a several month delay.
Once the first few post-June-26 AORs start coming in we'll have a better idea of timescales.
Good luck.
Wayne.

You
don't send the PCCs to CIO Sydney after 26/06/10.
Please read the checklist
If you are submitting your application to the CIO on or after June 26, 2010, the police certificates are not required with your complete application to the CIO. If your application is placed into processing you will be required to provide police certificates to the visa office at a later date.
Dear PMM
Even I had the same impression but there are some applicants who discovered that sending PCC varies from VO to VO even for applications sent after 26th June. E.g. Singapore VO doesn't need but New Delhi VO needs (this was told by some applicant in one of threads)
So one need to check carefully in his or her visa-office specific check list.
regards
Thanks everyone for replies

I stand by what I said. Read New Delhi's checklist, applications sent to CIO after 26/06/10 DON'T send their PCCs with the application. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/E37029.pdf No. 12

i got my PCC when i applied to CIO . it was valid when i applied.
i got my AOR in 5 months on 20th of oct.
but my PCC expired on 19th of oct. one day before i got my AOR.
NOw i want to know is wether can i send my complete docs with same PCC or do i need to get a new one...
i did email CIC london and their reply was.
"the police certificates must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your immigrant / visa application."
so what do they mean do they take submission to CIO as visa app date or do they take the date on which complete package is sent to visa office requested ?? plz guide
i am pre june 26 applicant
